Clarence Joseph DuBois

September 13, 1922 to September 29, 2012

Saying goodbye to my grandfather, Clarence DuBois. He was 90, he had been ill, it has been a long hard 5 months. He always said he’d never wanted to live to 90. I will miss him terribly. He was one of my favorite people. We didn’t always agree, but our conversations were always thought-provoking. Told me I looked sharp, but only when I did. Taught me so much about storytelling, joke timing, card playing, listening, even how to walk in the woods (“get your hands out of your damn pockets, Sarah”)

Grandpa, you’ll be missed.

  1. Well I came to this website completely by accident (I was looking up a band lol), but I read your post regarding your grandfather and looked at the pictures. That was very inspiring, he looked like a truly wonderful man. The different settings in all the pictures leads me to believe he led a very great and inspiring life. His wife looks happy too :)
Just wanted to say that even though I do not know this man, the pictures of him touched me. Thank you
