A look back and ahead

2008 is over. May 2009 have a fair run.

I have been collecting (my) thoughts on 2008 to see if I learned anything last year. By not posting this until today, I have learned (again) that I am now slow. I will probably come up with 10, such a nice number for a list, but only #1 is really profound. And maybe #10.

And so it goes:

1. As the saying goes, don’t discuss politics or religion over dinner. I can add llamas to that list.

2. Eating raw pie crust dough gives me a stomachache. Eating raw pie crust dough sprinkled with brown sugar does not.

3. Mylicon gas relief for babies is not a myth. The jury is still out if it is a placebo.

4. Phineas & Ferb is hilarious. I was going to say that it seemed unfair and impossible that I had seen all of the episodes. And today, I saw a new one.

5. My son is still capable of falling out of bed. So bunkbeds for 2009 are out.

6. I love travel and visitors. And our friends. I have felt so happy to be able to see so many people who are dear to us this year.

7. Guitar on Wii is as annoying as guitar on the radio

8. The key to domestic tranquility is to have two TV rooms

9. Frangible is a word. And it means what I think it means.

10. Three kids feels right.
